The 9th annual Lee University Film Festival will be held on March 15, 2019.
Join us in Pangle Hall at 7PM on Friday, March 15th for the film screenings and award ceremony. It will be followed by a reception in the School of Business lobby. The suggested dress is semi-formal.
Some key changes to note:
- The best films will be shown. There is no guarantee that a film will be shown just for being submitted. Please consult the guidelines and ensure that you are submitting your best work.
- If your film is chosen, you are expected to attend the award ceremony on March 15th in the Pangle Hall.
- Not every film will receive an award. One film will be chosen for the “Jury Award” and one film will be chosen for the “Audience Award”; these winning films will be presented with respective awards. For other films, the award will be the opportunity to be shown at the award ceremony.
- Films will not be divided into categories. Short films, music videos, and commercials will all still be accepted but will be judged according to all the same criteria (described in the submission guidelines).
Schedule of Events:
March 8, Midnight: Submissions due
You can submit a form by filling out the Submission Form. Further instructions are included on Submission Form.
March 15, 7pm: Award Ceremony and Reception in Pangle Hall – Formal attire
The best film submissions selected by our judges will be shown and their filmmakers introduced. Following the screening of the films, a reception will be held with refreshments and an opportunity to meet and speak with the directors and writers of each film shown. Before the reception, the “Judges’ Award” and “Audience Award” will be announced and awarded.
